I'd say for 3440x1440p it's really straightforwards brand new = RTX 2080 and second hand = GTX 1080 TiĪny thing other does not make for a good 'value alternative", the RTX 2080 Ti if you have enough money to spare but if you're considering the 2060 I'd believe thats not the case. The RTX 2070 does not provide sufficient gains in performance to be justifiable, the GTX 1080 also is not fast enough to be worth the hassle of finding second hand cards. I don't really think the RTX 2060 is that good GPU for 1440p ultrawide, I mean for 1440p 16:9 sure it's a great card (the minimum at least this year) but for larger resolutions I'd go for a used GTX 1080, used GTX 1080Ti, RTX 2070

3440X1440P HEARTHSTONE IMAGE UPGRADE
Seeing that you currently have a 1060 and are considering upgrading to a 2060 already, it appears that you are already on a 2-3 year upgrade cycle for your GPU. Otherwise, the 2060 would be acceptable for the time being, as long as you aren't planning on holding onto it for very long. A 2070 or 1080 or 1080 Ti is a slightly better investment for this resolution, looking at the longterm. The VRAM on the 2060 could become a bottleneck in certain titles, requiring you to lower settings later on down the line. Then the 2060 will be fine. However, being that you are playing at a relatively high monitor resolution. Unless of course you don't mind upgrading the 2060 in two or so years.

Therefore, for your use case, it might be worthwhile saving up a bit extra for a 2070, or grabbing a used GTX 1080 or 1080 Ti instead. While the RTX 2060 will be more than capable of driving your 3440x1440 monitor, the obvious question that becomes apparent, is how long will it be capable of doing that - when considering that it only has 6GB of VRAM.
